A little about Jacy
Jacy’s life began in Alliance, NE where he grew up in the Alliance/Gordan, Nebraska area. At age 8, his family relocated to Grand Island and surrounding communities. He graduated from Centura High School in 1989. Jacy enlisted in the Nebraska Army National Guards in between his junior and senior year in high school, and completed basic training during that summer. Right after his high school graduation, he completed his medic training at Fort Sam Houston. When the Desert Shield conflict started, he enlisted in the Army and was deployed shortly after to the front lines in the Middle East as a combat medic. Jacy was attached to the 1st Infantry Division, also known as the Big Red One, out of Fort Riley, KS. After serving just over three years in the Army, he re-enlisted to the Nebraska Army National Guards and finished his military career in 1996. Due to injuries sustained during his military career, he is now a 100% Service Disabled Veteran.
Over the last 25 years, Jacy has been a small business owner, having owned several businesses along the way. During this time, Jacy has been very active in the community as a Cub Scout Master, President of the Little League baseball organization and was very involved in his three son’s lives.
Jacy cares very much about the people’s voice – understanding how our current legislators are diminishing their constituents voice and not following through on what the people of Nebraska have voted on. Jacy has spent a lot of his time the last few years at the State Capital and has seen first-hand the lack of transparency and frustration it has caused the people of Nebraska.
Jacy and his wife, Pam, have 5 children, 3 grandchildren and currently reside in York, NE.
