Frequently Asked Questions

I am running for Governor of Nebraska because I believe our state deserves leadership grounded in service, accountability, and a commitment to people over politics. When I raised my right hand to serve in the military, I swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States. That oath didn’t end with my service—it continues to guide my decisions and my belief in putting the public first.

Nebraskans, regardless of party, want many of the same things: safe communities, strong schools, a growing economy, and a government they can trust. Today, too many people feel that trust has been broken. I am running to help restore it.

Nebraska is unique—we are a unicameral state, designed to be closer and more accountable to the people. But let’s be clear: the true “second house” is the voice of the people—and that voice has been ignored for too long. When Nebraskans vote, their decisions should be final, not reinterpreted, delayed, or undermined by political agendas. It’s time our government stops playing games with the people of this state and starts respecting the will of the voters. As Governor, I will stand firmly on the side of the people and ensure their voice is not just heard, but followed.

This means bringing people together to solve problems with common sense, not partisanship. It also means taking a firm stand against corruption wherever it exists. Public service is a responsibility, not a privilege, and anyone who abuses that trust must be held accountable. As Governor, I will work to ensure transparency in government, aggressively pursue and expose fraud, and support independent oversight so that any wrongdoing is uncovered and those who break the law are brought to justice—no matter who they are or what position they hold.

I am not a career politician. I come from the same communities that raise families, run small businesses, work the land, and keep Nebraska moving forward. I understand the real challenges people face, and I believe government should be focused on practical solutions and measurable results.

I am running to serve all Nebraskans—with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to unity. It’s time to move past division, restore trust in our institutions, and build a future that reflects the values we all share.

First, I will take immediate action to ensure government is accountable to the people. That starts with a full, line-by-line audit of every state office so Nebraskans can see exactly how their tax dollars are being spent. For too long, wasteful spending has gone unchecked. I will identify that waste, eliminate it, and put those savings back where they belong—into meaningful property tax relief for Nebraska families, farmers, and small businesses.

Second, I will honor the will of the people. When Nebraskans vote on initiatives, their decisions should be respected and upheld—not delayed, reinterpreted, or ignored. The people’s voice matters, and it must be central to how government operates. That means bringing issues forward transparently, giving citizens a reasonable amount of time to respond, and ensuring they have real opportunities to voice their concerns and participate in meetings and hearings that affect their lives. It also means ending the practice of going behind the backs of our citizens—no more sneaky decisions made behind closed doors. Government should operate in the open, where the people can see it, understand it, and trust it.

In addition, foreign land ownership must be stopped to protect Nebraska farmers, ranchers, and local control over our resources. Our veterans and their families deserve more support, including access to resources, healthcare, and opportunities for success when they return home as well as our aging veterans.

Finally, my priorities are straightforward and shared across party lines: supporting our agricultural roots, strengthening both rural and urban communities, promoting responsible budgeting, and creating real opportunities so the next generation can live, work, and thrive right here at home. These issues matter because they directly impact the daily lives of Nebraskans. It’s time for leadership that focuses on results, respects the people, and works together to move our state forward.

1) The fact that more people are leaving Nebraska than moving here isn't just a statistic- it's a clear failure of leadership. I'll hit the ground running to reverse that trend by getting our priorities straight. Right now, we have overly high taxes that's pushing families and businesses away, and we're ignoring the will of the voters. That changes when I'm in office.

2) Balancing responsible spending with community needs starts with setting clear priorities and eliminating waste, not cutting what matters most. I believe in investing in essential services like public safety, infrastructure, and education while holding agencies accountable for every dollar spent. By focusing on efficiency, transparency, and long-term outcomes, we can meet the needs of our communities without overburdening taxpayers. I will do a line-by-line audit of all of the state offices to show the people how much wasteful spending our taxpayers’ dollars are being spent. I will correct this issue immediately and provide property tax relief with our savings. I will honor the will of the people and respect the initiatives that they vote on.

3) I want voters to know that I'm honest and truly for the people. My job is to represent their interests -not my own- by turning their voices into practical solutions and real results. We live in a democracy - not a system where elected officials get to put their own interests ahead of ours. Too many politicians seem to forget that. My vision is simple: government that listens, lead with integrity, and puts the community first in every decision. I won't lose sight of who I'm here to serve, and I'll always remember that this is your state, your future, and your voice that matters most.
